E. Michael Brezina, III, practices Sports and Entertainment Law and enjoys representing and working with young Student Athletes to help them maximize their success, on and off the playing field or court. He co-founded Next Level Sports Agency, where he works as a Sports Agent in the Name, Image and Likeness (“NIL”) space. Michael has represented professional, collegiate, and high school athletes in a variety of areas, matters, and contexts. He practices in the following areas: NCAA eligibility problems/issues, NIL-related problems/issues, Litigation to protect Student Athlete’s NIL rights, Lobbying efforts to impact NIL legislation, Transfer portal-related problems/issues, Formation/Creation of Collectives and related legal entities, Compliance with Federal and State Law and applicable NCAA and TSSAA Rules and Regulations, NCAA- and TSSAA-related issues, including high school sports eligibility, alleged improper inducement and/or recruitment of Student Athletes, challenging/appealing NCAA and/or TSSAA rulings/decisions, and Criminal Law representation.
Michael also serves as Chairman of Rocky Top Collective, LLC, which creates or locates meaningful and financially beneficial NIL opportunities for Student Athletes. He also regularly conducts seminars for Student Athletes and parents on a wide range of topics involving NCAA and NIL Rules and Regulations to educate and inform them of the NIL landscape and potential issues which arise in the backdrop of NCAA Rules and Regulations, Federal Law, State Law, and/or University-specific Rules and Regulations.
